Torah Study with Rabbi Marc Gellman
Join the weekly study group and explore the Torah verse by verse as Rabbi Gellman illuminates the text and makes it accessible. He connects the Torah to the modern world and shows us its relevance to our lives. You can join this class at any point and begin a regular study of Torah. Tuesday Mornings 10:00-11:15 or Tuesday Nights 7:30-8:45 PM.
Adult Confirmation with Rabbi Susie Heneson Moskowitz
A weekly class that meets on Thursdays from 10-11:30 am. This year's topics will include Reform Judaism, Jewish Views of the Soul, Talmud, Shabbat, reading the book Joy Comes in the Morning by Jonathan Rosen, and Cooking. An ongoing way to study relevant topics about Judaism. You can just take a mini-course that interests you or commit to weekly study.
Adult B'nei Mitzvah with Cantor Stephen Stein
This is a two year course, beginning this year, which focuses on learning Hebrew in order to read from the prayerbook and the Torah. At the end of the 2 years you will join your classmates in leading a beautiful service for the congregation. The class meets on Wednesday evenings at 8:30 pm.
Rosh Chodesh with Rabbi Susie Heneson Moskowitz
TBT's Women's Study and Spirituality Group. We meet monthly as close to the New Moon and the beginning of the Hebrew Month as we can. You can come to as many or as few classes as you like. Each session stands alone. It is a great way to connect to your Judaism and to other people in the congregation. We meet from 9:45-11:30. Next class: Friday April 24, 2009.
Kabbalah Yoga with Rabbi Susan Heneson Moskowitz
One Shabbat a month come pray with your body and your soul. Using movement and yoga with a focus on breathing we experience the Shabbat service. Explore how movement can add to your prayer experience. Dress in exercise clothes and bring a mat or a towel.

We are joining in SAJES (Suffolk Association of Jewish Educational Services) Long Island-Wide Jewish Read. This is an effort to get Jews from different denominations of Judaism, from different areas and from different interest groups reading the same book. This year's book is Joy Comes in the Morning, by Jonathan Rosen. We will be holding a 3 part series on our Jewish and Personal journeys on Thursday mornings Nov. 29, Dec. 6 & Dec. 13 from 10:00-11:30 to explore this notion as it is presented in the book. Books are available in the Judaica Shop and other book vendors. Watch for additional programming around town.
