MISHPACHA UNIVERSITY: A UNIQUE JEWISH EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS K-5 AND THEIR PARENTS
HOW IT WORKS:
Students attend classes once a week and one Sunday each month. On those "MU Sundays" a parent, grandparent or other adult comes with the student. Our students attend their regular Religious School class while their parent enjoys Adult Institute classes of their choosing.
Midway through your morning of learning, parent and child meet for "Together Time" - a fun, interactive activity that allows the entire congregation to socialize AND learn!
Choices for the Adult Institute are as varied as our students themselves! You choices for the 2011-2012 year are:
1st period
A High Level Introduction to Judaism – taught by Rabbi Gellman
This class goes beyond the Chanukah candles into the deep teachings of our faith.
Kabbalah Yoga – taught by Rabbi Susie Moskowitz

Jewish Music from the Shtetl to the Stage – taught by Cantor Appelbaum
